If you're looking for a wedding band you naturally want the best - and you've found it!
Spangler are one of the most experienced wedding bands in the Newcastle and Durham area. Since 2002 Spangler have been delighting wedding parties across the North East area with their unrivalled blend of classic rock, pop and soul music. Our experienced preparation will ensure the day goes smoothly, and you can relax in the safe hands of our pro musicians who will guarantee to get your guests up on the dance-floor.
Our professional approach extends to the vital elements of a band performance you may not have considered - we don't leave anything to chance! We always work with a professional sound and lighting company, complete with engineer, to make sure we look and sound as good as possible throughout the evening. You're only going to have one wedding (hopefully!) so it has to be right on the night!
A typical wedding band booking would include two approximately 45-minute sets from our 5-piece band. We can help you decide on timings based on our extensive experience at weddings over the years. In general, it's always good not to start too early so people can socialise and have a few drinks before the entertainment starts.
If you would like your own extra background or disco music to be played at the wedding on our sound system, this can be supplied to us on CD or we can usually plug-in your own MP3 player or laptop. If you really want a live DJ then we recommend you book a mobile disco separately.
Our rates are very competitive, but if at first glance it seems expensive, please do remember what you're paying for: we will generally be on-site from late afternoon with our sound and lighting hire partners until midnight or later, together with some very expensive equipment. Please don't expect 'pub band' rates! The rate you are quoted for your wedding will depend on several factors including start and finish times, size and location of the venue and ease of access.
We have played many weddings around Newcastle, Durham and further afield. These popular wedding venues include: The Sage - Gateshead, Durham Castle, Langley Castle, Whitworth Hall, Beamish Hall, Longhirst Hall, Matfen Hall and Ramside Hall.
As required by an increasing number of venues these days, Spangler carry Public Liability Insurance to £10 million through the Musicians' Union, and all equipment is P.A.T. tested.
